Every situation is a little different, but most returns need the items below. When in doubt, bring it, we'd rather have it and not need it.
Photo ID for you and your spouse, plus Social Security or ITIN numbers for everyone on the return, including dependents.
W-2s, 1099s (1099-NEC, 1099-K, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC), and records of any self-employment or cash income.
A copy of your prior-year tax return, especially if this is your first time filing with us.
Mortgage interest, property tax, childcare costs, tuition (1098-T), and any business or medical expenses you want to claim.
A voided check or your routing and account number for the fastest possible direct-deposit refund.
Bring any notices you received from the IRS or the state, we'll handle them as part of your visit.
Our printable What to Bring guide covers it all, available in English and Spanish.
